Just one day, yet enough to experience Hanoi as truly ancient – soulful – and irresistibly charming.

08:00 Trima Vietnam tour guide picks you up at the hotel in the center of Hanoi city to depart for a tour of Hanoi. In the morning, the group visits:

  • Tran Quoc Pagoda - West Lake: The pagoda is located on an island in the East of West Lake (Tay Ho district). The pagoda has a history of nearly 1,500 years with a Bodhi tree hundreds of years old originating from India, considered the oldest pagoda in Thang Long - Hanoi. The pagoda's architecture has a harmonious combination of majesty, antiquity with elegant landscape in the quiet background of a vast lake. It was the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel during the Ly and Tran dynasties.

  • The complex of relics of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (including the Mausoleum and the stilt house area) - Where the great leader lived and worked from 1954 until the last years of his life. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about Uncle Ho's simple life. In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit the One Pillar Pagoda to admire one of the four symbols of Hanoi.

Note: On Mondays and Fridays, the Mausoleum Management Board will conduct maintenance on the Mausoleum, you will only visit the outside of the Mausoleum,
then visit the stilt house area, fish pond and One Pillar Pagoda.

  • The Museum of Ethnology, which preserves and displays many cultural artifacts of all 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. This is the newest museum but is probably one of the most interesting museums not only in Hanoi but also in Vietnam. There are both indoor and outdoor sections, while the indoor exhibition section is particularly informative, the outdoor displays and activities make the museum stand out from the rest. There are some houses modeled after the traditional architecture of ethnic minorities, especially those from the North and Central Highlands.

On every Monday, the Museum of Ethnology is closed so we will replace it with a visit to the Women's Museum.

Noon: The group will have lunch at a restaurant in the center of Hanoi city and rest. You can take a few minutes after your meal to walk around, look around and learn about the names of Hanoi's 36 streets...

Note: From June 15 to August 15 every year, Uncle Ho's Mausoleum will have to undergo periodic renovation and maintenance. Therefore, visiting the mausoleum will be temporarily suspended. However, you can still visit the Presidential Palace relic site such as the stilt house, fish pond, Ho Chi Minh Museum...

Afternoon: Continue to visit:

  • Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, which is considered the first university in Vietnam. It is an ancient architecture, built on a large scale from October 1073 and still exists today. The Temple of Literature was built to worship Confucius, the founder of Confucianism and Chu Van An - the principal of Quoc Tu Giam - representing the high moral philosophy of Vietnamese education.

  • Visit Hoa Lo Prison, formerly a prison located in Hanoi, Vietnam, also known as the Central Prison or ironically the Hanoi Hilton. It was built when Indochina was an integral part of the French Empire. Partially destroyed in 1990, it is now used as a museum.

16:00: End of the Hanoi City tour program, Trima Vietnam says goodbye and see you again.
